Online Counselling

One on one phone or video counselling sessions

Similar to in-person sessions, we will explore your story, make connections between past, present and future experiences, uncover new truths, and start healing.

How it works?

Online counselling is a tad different than in-person counselling in that you can get the mental health support you need, want and deserve from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Online counselling uses phone or video communications to provide you with a space to talk about what you want to talk about.

How to prepare for online counselling?

  • Create a safe and comfortable space for the duration of your 50 minute session (e.g., make tea/coffee, have accessible tissues, keep a blanket/pillow nearby).

  • Make sure your internet connection is as good as possible. Discuss back-up options with your counsellor at the start of the session in case connection is poor. If Jane App's secure video fails, try or a phone call.

  • Use headphones to ensure privacy/confidentiality, and if surrounding noise is distracting.

  • If living with others, let them know that you are should not be disturbed for 50 minutes.

  • If needed, you can type or write down and show what might be too difficult to say out loud.

You do not need to be in crisis to get support. Counselling in any format is meant to help you gain insight and meaning about your life. And this can be transformational!
